Ah, it seems to be a long time without a post, eh. I guess it’s more than 1 week since I posted the last one. The reason is I had an art commission on Elsword Online NA forum and this guy wanted me to draw his own Elsword model. So, I spent a whole week just for it. Indeed, this is my first art commission I’ve ever done. I used to open a commission slot on Deviantart but I was not lucky in this kind and it seemed to be failed completely Lol. But talking about this, if this, I mean drawing work, is a business and all for business, I don’t care about this. I’ve just finished what my clients want, though sometimes I don’t have interest in it (well, work can ruin what is your hobby and you may don’t have any inspiration with it. Why? Because it becomes your obligation and agreement) and I guess it just waste of my time and gray matter with no specialty or improvement. That’s why I’m rarely satisfied myself when drawing request (oh, except for my close friends. Their designs are something I may find interest) and I do all I can to deny it. However, the thing that helps me to do what I dislike is the payment. Yeah, payment can be counted here. That’s always the main point of work.
Of course this commission is not out of that rule. Still, I find some interest in this. Maybe because I like these sets in Elsword games: Salavatore and ArchDevil. To be honest, I always want an Ice Burner set for my character(s). However, it’s so cruel that they use K-ching meaning the real cash here. I have some K-ching too, mainly from the contests on the main site, but when I use Ice Burner, what I get is something quite stupid. I mean, I don’t need them much. So, maybe that helped me get inspiration and spent my last week for it. And when it was done… I like it. Look at the finished artwork, I think my skill in CG following Elsword style has improved. I really like the hair coloring, though in my opinion, I’m still fond of spiky hair more Lol. The details on the dress was quite good too. Oh, I love the color, dark red and black, with yellow hems. And the fun thing I think is sometimes something was made carelessly might be better a lot and save more time than doing carefully. That’s when I want to talk about my OC/FC artworks Lol. For example, my Prime Marauder was just drew in waist-up simple stance. However, it tool me more than 1 week and til now I haven’t finished it OMG… I couldn’t find a way to boost my speed up, and that’s why my original works get to nowhere *sigh*.
The last thing I thought but it made me quite disappointed is why I could draw people model but not mine. I mean, I love my Raven and his design now, but I couldn’t draw him seriously. I couldn’t make an emotion or a stance that I want him to be in my artwork. Maybe because he’s hard to draw, but maybe because I’m not good. Oh my, I stuck in my perfection much so I couldn’t do what I like and care. How’s boring!
Ok, this is the result of the commission:
Guess I have to relax and use time to care for my stuff now.
